Canada's Next Top Model
Before I reveal who won Canada's Next Top Model this season, let me reiterate: Mr. Jay Manuel, this was one of the best seasons I've ever seen. Tyra should be shaking in her hooker boots south of the border, where her bloated farce of a show will now fail to hold a candle to this gem.

Canada's Next Top Model
Nikita, Meaghan, and Linsay open up about making it to the end of the competition. Of course there's some catiness as well.
Linsays Final Portfolio
Linsay started off slowly with this pic. We think it's because her hair was still long and a little boring. But then again, she IS holding a hawk.
CTV
Jay cut off her long hair, and it really brought out her striking, angular features. It also made her seem older and more mature.
CTV
And thus began Linsay's difficulty with looking at the camera. Though still striking (and those shoes are awesome), the judges expressed their dislike of the looking-down eyes.
CTV
The body language is - well, non-existent - and again you can barely see her face. If all modelling involved laying down on the beach, I'd sign up in a heartbeat.
CTV
Arguably her worst photo, Linsay looks kind of possessed and a tad too toothy.
CTV
Both cute and diva-esque, Linsay really embraced the theme of the photo and ran with it. LOVE the scissors in the mouth touch.
CTV
She's stunning in this picture - her Vulcan brows and sharp eyes bring us in, and her cheekbones and body language are beyond description.
CTV
Though we don't think Linsay looks like herself in the photo, it's a good one. She would work as a Cover Girl, no question. And it would be great to have one of aboriginal descent, for the first time in history!

Vying for the Canadian Crown

Meaghan
The blonde from Winnipeg took home the crown, much to everyone's surprise and delight. Congrats!
CTV
Linsay
Towards the end there, we totally thought she was going to win. In the end, her bland personality finally did her in. Unquestionably an original-looking beauty, Linsay will not fail to make it in the modelling world: she's got the walk, she's got the look, but she just needs to work on the personality. Thankfully, they won't be paying you to talk.
CTV
Nikita
Nikita was our favourite for most of the season, what with her endless humour and sassy mouth. She has absolutely amazing cheekbones, and her future as a model seems promising. She may just have to reel in the sarcasm for a few minutes while she's meeting designers, or else they'll bite her head off.
CTV
Maryam
Truth be told, Maryam should have been booted off many episodes ago, mainly because she broke a contest MUST-HAVE RULE: Bring your passport. She didn't have it twice, and thus missed most of the frikkin' show. There were only 7 episodes she was a part of the show, and she missed two. That's enough of a reason alone. Undoubtedly a beautiful girl, just not right for this show.
CTV
Heather
It was a bit of a shocker to see top-of-the-heap Heather fall down to this point. Her photo was still amazing, but it seemed as if someone had sucked the spark right out of her. You'd think in New York City she'd have no problem finding her mojo, but alas it was not meant to be.
CTV
Rebeccah
She really rocked at the beginning of the competition, but started to choke as the rest of the girls came out of their shells. She has the self-confidence, but perhaps too much self-knowledge for the competition. She'd probably make a better actress.
CTV
Tara
Let's be real. We knew before the episode even started she was going home. Someone who doesn't supply any drama to the show, and who doesn't have any charisma can't possibly be a top model. The judges knew it, and we think even Tara knew.
CTV
Ebonie
She was benign and innocent enough at the beginning, but her fight-seeking attitude quickly soured our opinion of her. It may have been selective editing, but she was constantly picking on everyone, and going on about how confident she was. Her poor pictures were really just the icing on the cake.
CTV
Jill
Poor dear. She really didn't seem like much of a model compared to the other girls. When it was apparent that her makeover was very ho-hum compared to the other girls, we should have known she was going to get booted. In a competition this fierce, she didn't stand a chance.
CTV
Tiffany
Since she was the first to be voted off, it's a bit tough to say we knew her. But in the brief time we did know her, she talked about her newborn child a lot, which makes us think her mind wasn't really in it. She looked comatose in her only photo, so things probably wouldn't have turned out very well.

Episode 7: Tearin' It Up

Canada's Next Top Model
I'm not sure what to feel here - exaltation? exhilaration? satisfaction? - as the final three girls are chosen. I've been watching this blasted show for upwards of four years (both this version and the American) and I have never seen an episode this good, nor entertaining. There were gasps and catcalling, and laughter throughout. What could elicit such reactions? How about Miss J. Alexander guesting the whole episode, a walk-off, a runway show, a practice runway show, a backstage cat fight, and a Cover Girl shoot?
